The 53rd Trofeo Vallecamonica will be the Italian round of the FIA European Hill Climb Championship 2024.

The FIA World Motor Sport Council has confirmed the 2024 Hill Climb calendars, and the news is now official. The Malegno-Ossimo-Borno event will be the only Italian round of the European Championship, returning to the top series of hill climbs from July 12th to 14th.

December 6, 2023 – The FIA World Motor Sport Council, reunited in Baku in recent hours, has finally formalized the international calendars for Hill Climb, and the news is now confirmed. The 53rd Trofeo Vallecamonica, scheduled on the Malegno-Ossimo-Borno track from July 12th to 14th, will be the only Italian round of the FIA European Hill Climb Championship 2024.

This is a long awaited news by the entire Italian automotive world, especially by the many enthusiasts from Brescia and Vallecamonica, highlighting once again the great commitment of the Automobile Club Brescia in the organization, relaunch, promotion, and protection of an event that represents one of Brescia’s motor racing excellences.

The 2024 edition will be an historic moment for the event as it will not only bear the highest European title but will also be valid as an event of the new Supersalita Championship, the ACI Sport series for Hill Climbs, and for the CIVM Nord.

A first-rate international importance, made possible also by the intense collaboration with the administrations of Malegno, Ossimo, Borno, Lozio and Cividate Camuno with the Comunità Montana di Vallecamonica, and with the Province of Brescia. The European title, discussed since the Organizers’ Meeting held in Braga last November, is an achievement reached by the Automobile Club Brescia eighteen years after the last time, a long period during which the Trofeo Vallecamonica has never left the desire to come back on the most important european stage.

“Being back in the FIA European Hill Climb Championship is a huge satisfaction, an honour for the Automobile Club Brescia, but above all a tribute to the Trofeo Vallecamonica for all that it has represented and represents for the territory and for the world of competitions. We have worked hard to achieve this goal and there are many people to thank, starting from our staff that takes care of the sporting events, to the Mayors of the municipalities of Malegno, Ossimo, Borno, Lozio, and Cividate Camuno, to the Comunità Montana di Vallecamonica and the Province of Brescia, without forgetting ACI Sport that supported us in this operation. Obtaining the european title will not only give us visibility and promotion, but will also give the back a deserved and long-awaited stage. We are working hard to ensure that the 2024 edition will be of the utmost importance, and we sincerely hope that it can be the first step on a new international pathway’ President of Automobile Club Brescia Cav. Aldo Bonomi said.

The FIA European Hill Climb Championship 2024 calendar will feature the 53rd Trofeo Vallecamonica as the sixth event out of the eleven scheduled. It will also include the Rechbergrennen (Austria), Subida al Fito (Spain), Rampa Internacional da Falperra (Portugal), Ecce Homo Sternberk (Czech Republic), Glasbachrennen (Germany), Limanowa (Poland), Course de Cote de Saint Ursanne (Switzerland), Ilirska Bistrica (Slovenia), Buzetski Dani (Croatia
